Indoor lifts and outdoor lifts are different glass problems
Warehouse forklifts mostly break glass on racking and product, and what matters is turnaround: the lift is a link in a pick line, and we schedule so it misses one shift segment, not a day. Telehandlers live outdoors, eat jobsite debris, and stress their glass with defrost cycles all winter, so front panes go laminated and we check the frame drains while the glass is out. Same published range either way.
Fleet lift glass without purchase-order friction
A twenty lift building always has one cracked windshield somewhere. Our fleet account turns that into a text with the unit number and a photo. We batch the building's broken panes into scheduled visits, keep the paperwork to one monthly invoice, and your maintenance lead stops shepherding glass tickets through purchasing.
Lift glass questions
Is one forklift windshield too small a job to call about?
No. Single panes are half our lift work. If your building sits near other calls we fold it into a route and the travel share drops, but one lift, one pane is a normal ticket.
Our telehandler works outside all winter. What glass handles defrost stress?
Laminated front glass handles repeated defrost cycles better than tempered, which can let go from edge chips under thermal stress. We spec laminated up front on outdoor lifts for exactly that reason.
Can you service lifts during our off shift?
Yes. Warehouse glass goes in cleanest when the aisles are empty, and an evening or early morning slot usually costs nothing extra inside normal hours. True overnight work carries the published after-hours adder.
The overhead guard makes the windshield awkward. Extra charge?
It is priced inside the published range. Guard clearance is the main labor variable on lift glass, which is why the range reads $300 to $650 rather than one number.
